Pictures say a thousand words

When you’ve had a pretty hectic week, there’s nothing better than checking out some cool new music videos. This weeks selection certainly doesn’t disappoint with everything from strange blob creatures to a video starring Ray Winstone.

First up its the new promo for UNKLE – The Answer. Directed by John Hillcoat who directed critically acclaimed movie ‘The Road’, this video features Ray Winstone talking about a memory from years ago, before leading into UNKLE’s new single.

It’s not very often I see a video that makes me want to watch but look away at the same time, but this new video for Yeasayer – Madder Red, is pretty weird. It features US actress Kristen Bell (Heroes, Forgetting Sarah Marshall), getting up close with what can only be described as a blob…

Next up is a nice little puppet video for Clinic’s new single ‘I’m Aware’. The video was directed by Monsterism’s Pete Fowler..

This next video highlights the perils of sunbathing in a very real and stark way. Band of Skulls – Fires is directed by L’Oeuf Sacre. Watching it just makes me want to grab the after sun from the cupboard. Ouch…

This one’s not really an official music video but makes me laugh anyway. The new track from Cee-Lo hit the radio this week and most staions blank out the ‘F’ word in the song. Which happens like a million times so it gets pretty annoying. There is an official music video, but this video makes me laugh…

Next a new video from Antony and the Johnsons. This New York band are a bit like Vegemite, you either love them or hate them. The new video for ‘Thank you for your love’ features footage shot of Antony when he first arrived in New York as a teenager in the early 1990′s. It will be followed by new album ‘Swanlights’.
