Heard of Craig Oldman's Hand Written Letter project? We asked five Aus design studios to write to Craig: http://t.co/2i4Q614l
The month of May kicked off with the great Zombie shuffle, where thousands of the undead perforated the unsuspecting streets of Melbourne.
And now, as May comes to a close and a cold, grey, drab winter in Melbourne is about to descend – it was wonderful to be treated to some superheroic dabs of color on an early Saturday morning at Federation Square!
Trust me, there are not too many times you’ll get me braving the chill of Melbourne to be up bright and early on a Saturday morning.
And so it was, Melbourne’s superheroes were here to attempt to break the Guinness Book Of Records for the most number of peeps to be wearing superhero costumes in one location.
There were over a thousand registered Bat-Super-Spider-Iron-men and gals strutting their stuff across the pebbled courtyard of Federation Square all having a blast and all happy to pose for the squadron of DSLR’s that had also invaded the Square.
The previous record stood at 1,091 in the United Kingdom but there were over 1,200 Melbournites smashing that record with ease. Impressive!
The event was sponsored by Warner Brothers/DC Comics – celebrating their 75th Anniversary.

Brilliant (and nuts!)
