With AGIDEAS come and gone in Melbourne it’s now Sydney’s turn for the design spotlight. Now in its 14th year, the Sydney International Design Festival is back with a new theme ‘Tell us a story’.
Amongst other stories the main exhibition will be the photographs from the Bruno and Hazel Benini archive.

Considered one of the most elegant fashion photographers of his time, Bruno Benini was born in Italy and worked as a photographer out of Melbourne. His work predominantly shot in black and white spans over half a century from the 1950’s to the 1990’s.

Hosted by the Powerhouse Museum the festival will also host the Young Blood: Designers Market. Giving designers a high profile, young blood offers to showcase their products during the festival as part of the museum’s commitment to foster and promote Australian Design.
If you are a young designer then it is worth checking out, the market will run from the 13th to the 15th August. For more info click here.
