If you are an emerging furniture, lighting, product or 3D designer then the Bombay Sapphire Design Discovery Awards are for you.

For the last eight years, young designers have been pushing the boundaries of functional design and winning big money, glamour and accolades in the process.

Entries are still open for the Bombay Sapphire Design Discovery Award 2010, but they close August 29th, so you’d better be quick.

The judges are looking for a new functional design piece that should: push the boundaries of current design thinking; be an original idea that reflects your own personal style; be authentically Australian and be fully resolved so the design can be manufactured and retailed.
