For fashionistas everywhere, Fashion Exposed has been a premier trade fashion event to attend. As well as a hotspot for up and coming fashion designers, this year the event is branching out. The late August event will host seminars by influential fashion business experts.

The thirteen experts will talk about everything from fashion forecasting to the growing power of the green dollar. One of the more interesting seminars on the schedule is targeted toward marketing for the anti-consumer. Barrie Barton from The Thousands Shop and Kate Hannaford from Moth Design will challenge the conventional wisdom that you can’t sell to someone who doesn’t like shopping. Speaking as someone who is flummoxed by people who hate shopping, I’m intrigued.

Barton and Hannaford are sure to inspire thought and debate around avant-garde fashion and retail with their unique insights into ‘what’s next’. Seminar attendees are sure to gain new perspectives on optimising their business strategy in alternative or non-traditional retail environments.
