My answer would definitely have to be Ken Cato! Not only is he the creator of the biggest design company in the southern hemisphere, he is the founder of the AGIdeas international design conference (which I have attended 2years now) which continues to inspire young Australians and those in the design/creative industries!

I’m not a huge follower of top designers in Australia, but I think the ones the are making the most change in the industry are the little people, all the graduate design students, all the experimental video students, Australian podcasters and iPhone, iPod and iPad designers… The’re the ones making the biggest shift at the moment… I’m proud to be an Australian and a part of this big wide design world

For his age, Jacob Cass (Just Creative Design) has made his peers look like like an 80s Motorola with the way he’s grabbed new media / technology and made it work for him. His work may not shake the design world per se, but his grip on social tech and design, and making waves, is certainly working.

Gino Ciancio with a business called designline. He helps me with all my designs and sets me in the right direction. He corrects my mistakes and refines them to industry standard. Top bloke

The most influential designer in my life right now is Lyndon Whaite. Currently he is my lecturer and as hard as I deny it he is really having an impact on the way I see things.

Timba Smits, he was just a kid who enjoyed drawing and he is now on the way to having an empire, with a magazine, so much illustrative work and an art gallery but the best part of it is, he is an avid humble pie eater. He does not fancy himself in the least. He is definitely one to watch.
